So why are so many people running around with there kids hanging out the window or standing in the seat. Is it because they don't care about their children. NO! Most parents are not informed about proper child safety. They think that they are a safe driver so there is nothing to worry about. Even I have thought that there is nothing to worry about cause were in a good vehicle and driving safe. I am lucky too. Cause even with those thoughts I still buckled my 11 month old baby into her convertable infant seat. Knowing she was safe as we flew off the icy road at 55 mph in a 65 mph speed zone made a big differences in how I reacted once the vehicle came to a stop. Instead of thinking (oh my god my baby) it was (thank god she did not wake up) cause of course we still had to get our vehicle out of the ditch and it would take a while. But unlike alot of parents out there I am educated in child safety seats. I teach parents, grandparents, teachers, friends and more how to properly install and care for their child passengers while in the vehicle. I am not the only on either, there are thousands of other CPS Technicians and instructors out there. The only problems is not having the willing audience so we can teach them. I am planning a pre-holiday Child Safety Seat Check Up hoping that those who will be traveling with children in a vehicle we want to make sure they do it in the safest possible way. There are others doing the same all a cross the country. So find us, we will be glad to help you out. My Check Up will be next week in Delta Jct. AK at the Arctic Fox building on Nistler rd. it will be on December 8th from 10 am to 2 pm I will have childs seats for sale. And hopefully ballons for the safe kids out there. Please pass the word or come on by.
